⁣Immune-boosting Elderberry Syrup ⁣

The berries and flowers of elderberry are packed with antioxidants and vitamins that may boost your immune system. While you can purchase at your local health food store, here’s a great recipe to make your own Elderberry Syrup. ⁣

⁣Usage: Adults take 2 teaspoons once a day for daily use. For intensive use take 2 teaspoons up to four times a day. Children take one teaspoon a day for daily use. For intensive use take 1 teaspoon up to 4 times a day.⁣


⁣¾ cup Dried Elderberries (2.5oz)⁣

⁣3½ cups water⁣

⁣1 cinnamon stick⁣

⁣3-4 cloves⁣

⁣4-6 slices ginger (about 1.5 inches total)⁣

⁣1 cup Raw Honey⁣

⁣In a medium saucepot, add Elderberries, water, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger. Bring to a boil then place a lid partially cracked and reduce heat to a simmer for about 30 minutes until reduced by 50%. Remove from heat and stir in honey.⁣

⁣To store place in a glass jar and store in the fridge for 1-2 months.
