This Chocolate Peanut Butter Chia Pudding tastes like dessert, but it’s made with wholesome ingredients that you can enjoy for breakfast! And not to mention, it’s chocolate and peanut butter flavored, which automatically makes it a win-win.

Chia seeds contain large amounts of fiber. Fiber is known to aid in digestion and weight loss. One thing I love about using chia seeds as a source of fiber is that, unlike fruit, they have very little sugar to go along with the fiber. Chia seeds also contain omega-3 fatty acids, plenty of high-quality protein, and several essential minerals and antioxidants.

You can add sweetener, but it’s not necessary. Sweeteners you could add could include Stevia, maple syrup, dates or honey.

While this recipe is made for 1-2 servings, feel free to whip up a large batch and keep it handy in the fridge for the week.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Chia Pudding

Chocolate Chia Pudding

  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
  • 1/2 cup non-dairy milk (Almond, coconut, etc.)

Peanut Butter Sauce

  • 2-3 tablespoons non-dairy milk (Almond, coconut, etc.)
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter (All-natural)

Topping Ideas

  • 1 small banana, sliced
  • Cacao nibs
  • Chocolate chips or shavings
  • Chopped Peanuts

Combine the chia seeds, cacao powder and milk in a small resealable container. I’ve found that the quickest and cleanest way to make chia pudding is to make it in a mason jar. Simply add all of the ingredients to your mason jar and shake to combine!

If you don’t like the texture of chia seeds, you can do this step in a blender to pulverize the chia seeds. This makes the mixture become smooth and silky!

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. The longer you refrigerate the pudding, the thicker it will be.

When you’re ready to assemble your parfait, whisk together milk and peanut butter in a small bowl. Layer the chia pudding with the peanut butter sauce and toppings in a serving dish or jar.
