This recipe is a great alternative to “traditional” pizza. Our family favorite is making it into a garlic chicken pizza, but you can add the toppings your family will love. Eggs are a great source of protein and Omega-3s. Adding vegetables increases our daily fiber amount and adds more nutrients to the healthy dish. If you don’t have a quiche pan, you can use a 9 x 13 pan.

Deep Dish Pizza Quiche

4 eggs
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
1/3 c. real heavy cream
4 oz. cream cheese
1/2 tsp. oregano
2 c. shredded Italian cheeses (mozzarella, Romano, Parmesan – of choice)
1/2 tsp. garlic, crushed or 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 c. tomato sauce
1 c. shredded mozzarella cheese

Toppings of choice: onion, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, chicken, pepperoni, etc.

Easy Pizza Sauce
1 (12 oz) can tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 c. diced onion or 1/4 tsp. onion powder

Beat cream & eggs til smooth. Add cream, parmesan and spice. Spray quiche baking dish with MCT oil. Put 2 cups cheese in dish and pour egg mixture over and “squish” around to mix. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes. Spread on pizza sauce, sprinkle on mozzarella and layer with toppings. Bake 10 more minutes until bubbly and brown. Cool for 5 minutes and serve.

Yes, a very good choice, in moderation of course 🙂
