Sometimes, it is fun to play around with some tried and true dishes and spice them up!

This is a recipe that is healthy and easy to make! Using brown rice or some type of sprouted rice is the best choice! Consider using bone broth in the place of regular water to cook your rice. It cooks in all the additional benefits of bone broth.

Spiced Rice Recipe

2 C. brown or sprouted rice (Lundberg is a good brand)
3-1/2 C. water or broth
2-3 tsp. Little Choices Matter Golden Spice blend
green onions, chopped, for garnish

Place all ingredients into rice maker and stir. Cook on brown rice setting.

If you do not use a rice maker, bring water and rice to a boil in a medium saucepan. Cover with a tight-fitting lid and reduce heat to low simmer. Cook 30 minutes. Remove from heat, keeping lid on, and let steam for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork, garnish with fresh, green onions, and serve!

Side note on rice makers: Not all rice makers are the best choice for your cooking. Try to avoid the aluminum and nonstick inner cooking pots and opt for stainless steel.
