Hot & Sour Soup

An easy recipe perfect for those trying to shed a few extra pounds and one that the whole family will love! This delicious soup will not only fill you up because it’s loaded with protein, it also contains green cabbage which is on the zero calorie list. I’ve used liquid aminos – a staple in our home! The seasoning of the liquid aminos along with the Asian Gourmet Seasoning packs this recipe with flavor!

Hot & Sour Soup

1 lb. lean ground beef or turkey
1 tsp. fresh grated ginger
1/4 tsp. crushed chilies (or pepper flakes)
1/4 C. Braggs liquid aminos
2 tsp. rice vinegar
3-4 c. chopped green cabbage
2 c. tomatoes, diced (or one can diced tomatoes)
1 c. sliced green onions (tops and bottoms)
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/2 Tbsp. LCM Asian Gourmet Seasoning
1 tsp. lime juice
2 c. water
1 c. chicken broth

Brown the ground beef in a large saucepan or soup pan. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
