I would often find myself saying, “I’m so tired” but I never got to the bottom of my fatigue issues; I just figured I was tired and needed better sleep. Then at one of my epigenetic doctor appointments, my doctor told me I had Adrenal Fatigue. This is not the first time I have been told this by a medical professional. About ten years ago, I suffered for some time after losing my dad.

If you feel like you are typically tired, you might consider looking at your Adrenal Glands. When you experience chronic stress or anxiety, your adrenal glands will likely not produce enough cortisol.

Most of those suffering from Adrenal Fatigue have a slightly different set of symptoms, although there are always common complaints of being overly tired.

People who have adrenal insufficiency may experience the following symptoms:

  • Fatigue
  • Exhaustion
  • Weakened immunity – allowing a sickness to set in
  • Struggle handling stress
  • Lightheadedness
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Difficulty getting out of bed in the morning
  • Lack of motivation
  • Cravings for salty foods
  • Weight gain
  • Loss of body hair

Your adrenal glands are responsible for producing hormones that regulate blood pressure, metabolism, and even the immune system. If your adrenal glands don’t produce enough hormones, it can lead to various health issues besides all the annoying symptoms it produces. Those little glands are pretty important.

A targeted approach to supporting and healing adrenal fatigue can be very helpful. Eating a well-balanced diet with plenty of vegetables can help increase the necessary amount of vitamins and minerals.

Avoid refined sugars, gluten, processed foods, dairy and grains.

Increase good fats, vitamin C, green vegetables, potassium and sodium.

My doctor suggested I take 1/8 tsp of Himalayan Pink Sea Salt every morning so I’ve been drinking this delicious Adrenal Cocktail for about two months and it’s helped! Each ingredient has a purpose:

OJ– a great source of vitamin C, which helps to ensure that the added minerals get utilized by the liver in order to nourish the adrenal glands.

Coconut Water – contains natural enzymes and minerals, The primary nutrient in coconut water is potassium making it a high electrolyte beverage.

Himalayan Pink Salt– provides an excellent source of sodium + trace minerals. Get it here.

Cream of Tartar– excellent source of potassium. Get it here.

You can also add in Vital Proteins Beauty Collagen– adds protein in the way of amino acids, which support healthy hormones and stabilized mood. Get it here.
