What kind of deposits are you making into your life?  Recently, I had this discussion with my kids about the kind of influences we allow in our lives.  I have always taught them what goes in comes out and to guard against making bad deposits.  For example; listening to bad music, hanging around negative people or watching bad things.

A popular scripture I teach them is from 1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”

What does this mean for us trying to live a healthy lifestyle?  What are you depositing into your body, your ears, your eyes or who are you hanging around?  This  affects your overall health and well-being.

We live in a negative world and we get bombarded by small deposits of micro-content all day long from all avenues; television, radio, random people we meet everyday, Facebook or other social media, newspapers and even standing in line at the store from the magazine headlines.  All this information overload is making small deposits. We have to learn to guard against the negative and make positive deposits everyday.  You get to decide what kind of deposits are made in your life, so look to concentrate your efforts on making positive ones.

Hang out with healthy people

Read magazines or blogs that promote your style of eating

Do it for your overall health not just for weight control

When you are looking to make changes to focus on healthy living consider guarding the information you are taking in.  Watch shows they help promote healthy living.  Hang out with those who also want to live a healthy lifestyle.  You get the point,  change your deposits and it will change your heart.

You get one life!  Make it the best and make it count.

“Guard your heart for out of it flows the very issues of life.” (Proverbs 4:23)
