Not only is gripe water super easy to make, but it will also save you a lot of money! Ginger helps soothe upset tummies and has a calming effect on digestion. Ginger contains natural laxative properties that help to promote bowel movement making it an effective natural remedy for constipation.

Homemade Gripe Water

Cut about an inch piece of ginger into chunks. (if you’re using less than 8oz of water, use less ginger.)

Fill your storage container with water. (glass jar, a baby bottle with a stopper and lid, etc.) Pour the water into a small saucepan and bring to a rolling boil and drop in the ginger.

Add sweetener, if desired. Try Stevia, organic coconut sugar, and honey if the baby is over one.

Cover the pan and remove it from heat and let the ginger steep in the water until cool enough to touch. Strain removing the ginger pieces and place the gripe water back in your storage container.
