Christmas can be the most wonderful time of the year. But it isn’t always and many times we lose someone we love close to the season or it is the year of firsts without your special loved one.

One thing that always helps when you are depressed or sad is to bring up old good memories and meditate on those instead. A favorite time, grandma’s special cookies, or even an old Christmas tradition.

For those who are suffering this year, we send you our love, thoughts, prayers. It is not always easy to be around celebratory people when you just are not feeling it.

I love to remember going to grandma’s house and all the cousins, aunts and uncles. Presents piled high, and a whiff of Christmas foods at every turn. Then the annual pie fight that would almost surely breakout.

Prize: Today’s prize is a Pumpkin Spice Stevia

Chocolate Christmas Cookies 

  • 1 cup spelt, white, or oat flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup coconut or whole cane sugar 
  • 12 +/- drops of flavored stevia (chocolate, mint, gingerbread, etc.)
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp + 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 6 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp non-dairy milk of choice
  • 1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips (Pascha Organic 100% Cacao Unsweetened Dark Chocolate Chips 

Combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Stir well. Stir remaining ingredients in. Roll into balls and place on cookie sheet lined with a silicone mat. Sprinkle with flour if desired. Bake at 325 for 9-10 minutes and let sit 10 minutes so they firm up.

    I’m so, so, so excited to try the liver cleanse! I’m a single mom and this wasn’t really in my budget this time of year, so I am grateful to be the contest winner!!!!
