We’ve been giving you tips on how to increase your energy and lose weight. If you have missed them check out our blog.

Do you know getting regularly engaged in exercise reduces your likelihood of chronic diseases, including obesity, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease? It also increases your energy levels and helps you lose weight.

That’s our next tip:

Engage in Exercise and Physical Activities

Research has revealed that performing daily activities not only increases your energy levels but it also fights fatigue including that early to mid afternoon slump.

One study found that fatigue and sleep quality was highly improved in participants who engaged in a low-intensity running program three times a week.

Another study reported that the following factors improved for those who participated in a 6-week exercise program:

  • Cognitive function
  • Overall fatigue
  • Work ability
  • Sleep quality
  • Emotional exhaustion

Increasing the frequency of workout can also help you boost your energy and achieve your weight loss goals.

Try doing the following physical activities:

  • Walking or running
  • Biking
  • Hiking
  • Swimming
  • Playing outdoor games
  • Gardening
  • Taking the stairs instead of elevator

Summer is a great time to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors. Get outside before the heat of the day and drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration or heat exhaustion.
