Safely Ease Arthritis with Celery
What if I tell you there is a crunchy, economical, and refreshing food that can help ease your arthritis. That food is celery. It might not be the first vegetable that comes to mind as it has little flavor but it has many other benefits that can outweigh its lack of bold taste.
Celery contains a high amount of anti-inflammatory components and antioxidants like flavonoid and polyphenol. It can remove free radicals from the body and reduce the chance of oxidative inflammation. The anti-inflammatory components in it reduce inflammation and further reduces the risk of arthritis.
Several research pieces concluded that celery is beneficial for people who have arthritis. Unlike many other vegetables, celery does not lose any of its nutritional properties when it is steamed.

Journal of Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine published their reseach in 2017 determined that there was enough evidence to suggest celery seed may have healing effects because of its robust antioxidant characteristics, which can help remove free radicals from the body.

Heavenly Ranch Creamy Salad Dressing
- 1 rounded Tbsp. Heavenly Ranch Salad Dressing
- 3/4 c. mayonnaise (*see below)
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1/4 tsp of Turmeric (optional but good for anti-inflammatory diets)
Blend together and enjoy!
*For healthy mayonnaise options: Hain Safflower Mayonnaise or Primal Kitchen Avocado Mayonnaise.
You can also substitute Organic plain or Greek yogurt for the mayonnaise.
